Garden A:  This secluded location provides a view of Bailey Lake. On our two acre parcel you will find perennial beds, a large vegetable garden, and a variety of fruits:  apple trees, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and currants.

Garden B:  Three gardens, each dedicated to very special people, are filled with different perennials and annuals.

Garden C:  A fenced backyard provides a secluded feeling in the middle of the suburbs. Since the 2006 tour, changes include a re-designed formal Koi pond and deck. Shade to full sun perennial plantings abound. See how many statuary vignettes you can find. Check out our small “wild” area for attracting butterflies and vegetable garden area. A cottage style garden shed and other wooden accents add that finishing touch.”

Garden D:  The transformation started with a pile of excavated dirt in our backyard. After collecting large rocks/boulders, paver stones, and century old bricks from construction sites in the Twin Cities, our boulder strewn water feature naturally attracts birds, butterflies, and grandchildren. Surrounding berms help create a private, up-north feeling that can be enjoyed from the three season porch or the deck. Composting with kitchen waste and coffee results in an organic garden that produces world class heirloom tomatoes and flowerbeds that crave your attention. Finches are bribed with 10 foot sunflowers that are dried and lashed together to provide a resting place for the colorful visitors.”

Garden E:  An edge-of-the-woods garden with a meandering path. The eclectic arrays of plants along the path are well-suited for children to discover and explore. Our hope is that those who walk the path will be filled with peace and tranquility.”

Garden F:  This garden features a 25x14 ft pond with 3 waterfalls.   300 different daylilies, 180 different hostas, 100 different lilies of 9 varieties and many other unique plants are all labeled.

Garden G:  Among the pines find hostas, ferns, evergreens and other plants woven into Norway Spruce trees in the Evergreen neighborhood in Woodbury.  Designed by Mark Hauri with Berkley Landscape and Design Group, various hardscape structures, including an arbor, pergola and Chilton stone ledges, make the gardens both beautiful and livable.

Garden H:  My garden showcases my plant collection. Through the years, over one hundred different hostas and numerous heuchera and astilbe fill the shade gardens on the slope to a pond. Sunny spots are filled with iris, peonies and assorted sun loving perennials. A patio with fireplace and arbor housing a movie screen offers evening relaxation of watching a movie beside the fire.

Garden I:  Our ¾ acre vegetable garden, tended by volunteers for 17 years, is an effort of the church and community to raise food organically for direct distribution to local food shelves.  We grow 20 different fruits and vegetables and hopefully a caring community as well.  Come see 10,000 lbs in production!
